Sometimes there is constant pain in the abdomen. This pain is like a jerk and then the urge to go to the toilet arises. By examining the stool, you may find that the color of the stool is different from normal. You have to be careful here. It can also be a symptom of bowel cancer. It is also called colorectal cancer. It is important to recognize the signs of colorectal cancer that come through the stool.
Low prevalence of colorectal cancer in India
It is the third most common cancer in America. When we talk about India, statistics show that colorectal cancer is a common cancer worldwide. Most of its cases are found in developed countries.
Colorectal cancer prevalence in India is still low. Annual incidence rates show that out of an estimated population of 1 lakh people in India, 4.4 percent of men and 3.9 percent of women have colon cancer.
In order to find out what the color and type of poop has to do with your health, we talked to gastroenterologist dr. Ajay Khanna. dr. Ajay Khanna expresses concern that bowel cancer is now increasing in India due to poor diet.
First of all, know what bowel cancer or colorectal cancer is
The large intestine is the last part of the digestive tract. Initially, a small cancerous cluster of cells forms inside the colon. This is called a polyp. This polyp later becomes colon cancer. Cancer causes blood in the stool. Because of this, frequent stools begin to come. The stool may also become loose. Colon cancer also causes abdominal pain.
Here are changes in poop due to colon cancer
dr. Khanna explains that colon cancer can cause major changes in the texture and color of stool.
1 diarrhea or constipation
Colon cancer will cause a complete change in poop habits. In addition to going in the morning and evening, you will occasionally start to feel the need to have a bowel movement. It can also cause diarrhea and you will need to go to the toilet frequently. On the other hand, there can sometimes be a problem with constipation, i.e. whether the stool is hard or not.
Colon cancer changes the color of feces
Because of this, bleeding starts in the digestive tract. Rectal bleeding is not always associated with cancer. Lumps or cracks also cause bleeding. Stools caused by cancer appear dark brown, maroon and black. If you have any concerns, contact your doctor immediately.
3 Affected size and shape
The large intestine is also called the colon. When waste material passes through the rectum, this process can be obstructed by the presence of a tumor. This will also change the size and shape of the chair. This can lead to pencil-thin poop.
4 regular poop habits can be changed
Despite the prison, go to the toilet on time. Because your habit of going to the toilet regularly may be absent. It will take time to get it back on track.
In case of any of the above conditions, instead of home remedies, consult a doctor.
