The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding the rise in temperature, following which this guideline has been issued by the Ministry of Environment. The Ministry has told what to do and what not to do to avoid a heat wave (Government guidelines for dealing with a heat wave).
A heat wave is a state of temperature, when it increases, it becomes fatal for the human body. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), heat waves occur in India from March to June and in some cases extend to July. In 2016, severe heat wave conditions hit Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, West Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.

avoid going out in the sun
Avoid going out in the hot sun as much as possible. Going out in the afternoon between 12:00 and 3:00 can put you in the grip of a heat wave. You should avoid going out when the sun is strong.

Do not do strenuous activities outside in the hot sun. Prevent children from playing outside in the afternoon. Do not do any work in strong sunlight. Be it any kind of work, try to do it in the morning or in the evening. Do not do any exercise in the hot sun. Do not do any outdoor work between 12:00 and 3:00.
Avoid fizzy and carbonated drinks
Do not consume things like tea, coffee, alcohol, as well as carbonated soft drinks. All of these things can hydrate your body. So do not drink such soft drinks that can cause dehydration in your body. Because there is a risk of heat wave due to lack of water in the body.
