To understand this problem and its causes, we spoke to Dr. (Major General) Darshan Singh Bhakuni, Director of Rheumatology at Max Hospital (Vaishali), who gave us specifics about the problem.

First, understand what cervical spondylosis is

Cervical spondylosis is a condition characterized by chronic stiffness of the spine in the neck. Along with the headache, stiffness and pain in the neck and shoulders are also observed.

Most people do not detect this problem in the beginning, so the problem increases with time. Therefore, it is important to know the symptoms of this problem in advance. When asked about its symptoms, Dr. Darshan Singh Bhakuni said that these symptoms are observed when the cervical spine begins to develop.

1. Pain from neck to shoulder

At the onset of the cervical spine, the person starts along the neck in the shoulders and arms. At the same time, there is a feeling of stiffness and numbness in these parts of the body.

2. Pain in the back of the head

A person has pain in the back of the head, and in this case, when bending the neck and doing many things, he can feel severe pain. Due to this, there is a problem in the movement of the neck.

3. dizziness or imbalance

This problem often causes problems such as dizziness or loss of balance while walking.

4. Weakness

Along with severe fatigue in the body, weakness also begins. Along with this, there is stiffness and heaviness in the arms and legs.

5. Loss of bladder control

According to experts, in the case of cervical spine disease, the bladder and balls also get out of control.

Ice and warm compresses provide relief

In cases of swelling and severe pain, fomentation is often beneficial. Because it helps to reduce pain by relaxing the muscles. According to experts, 15-15 minutes of ice and hot packs can be effective. Using a neck brace can also be beneficial.
