Whenever there is a special occasion, we want to celebrate it sweetly. Well even a cheat meal on the weekends. People have been very fond of sweetening their mouths with halva since the days of grandmothers. You must have heard of different types of halwa such as sooji halwa, flour halwa, carrot or ghiya halwa. But have you heard of mashed potatoes? Yes, this ancient recipe is still popular today. So let’s learn about this traditional recipe (Potato halwa recipe).

Potatoes are rich in fiber, so you won’t feel hungry for a long time. In addition to this, fiber can help keep you away from heart disease by keeping your blood pressure and cholesterol in check. To this day, you must have only tried savory potato dishes. But today we bring you a sweet and healthy mashed potato.

So let’s go ahead, sweet and healthy potato halva recipe

Pay attention to the recipe of Aloo Halwa

4-5 – boiled potatoes
cup – sugar
2 cups – milk
3 tablespoons – Desi Ghee
3-4 – Cardamom
Cashews – 8 -10
Almonds – 8 -10
Raisins – 8 -10

Know how to make potato halva

First, peel the boiled potatoes and grate or mash them while they are still hot.

When mashing, make sure there are no lumps in the potatoes.

Now heat the ghee in a pan and keep the gas on medium heat.

Add the mashed potatoes to it and start frying.

Continue to lightly fry the potatoes for at least five minutes.

Now slowly add the milk and continue to mix well.

Even at this step, you have to keep stirring your hands so the pudding doesn’t clump together.

Let the milk cook for 5 minutes until it thickens.

Now add sugar to it and keep stirring.

When the pudding thickens, add the chopped cashews-almonds and raisins.

Add the grated cardamom in the last step, stir well and serve hot.

In addition to being rich in fiber in this halwa, antioxidants are also found. This helps your body function. In addition to this, eating one potato a day in your diet can help you avoid many diseases.

A moderate amount of desi ghee is used in halwa, which is rich in nutrients such as omega-3, omega-9 fatty acids, and vitamins A, K, E, and helps boost your immunity.

Lots of dried fruits, namely cashews, almonds and raisins are added to the mashed potatoes. This helps you maintain a healthy weight. At the same time, your metabolism will also increase.
