It is widely believed that skipping meals can lead to weight loss. However, the opposite is true. Skipping meals can be bad for your health and can also make you gain weight because it deprives your body of nutrients. In addition, skipping breakfast and lunch is not only harmful, but skipping dinner also has many side effects.

So dear ladies, it is important that you be careful when trying to lose weight. Don’t blindly believe everything you hear or read. Dinner is an important part of your daily diet because it ensures your body gets the necessary nutrients and calories. Also, skipping meals occasionally won’t hurt you, but doing so regularly is risky. So instead of skipping dinner at all, eat something bland.

What does the study say?

A study published in the Endocrine Society’s Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism also noted that “heavy breakfasts and light dinners” can help you stay healthy. It also prevents obesity and hyperglycemia.

But skipping dinner altogether is not a healthy idea.

Not dieting for years to lose weight The trend has increased a lot. If you want a healthy body, you have to question this practice.

Health Shots contacted Dr. Divya Gopal, Consultant – Dietitian/Nutritionist, Banashankari Maternity Hospital, Bangalore. This will reveal what effect it has on the body when we skip dinner.

Dr. Gopal said: “You must have heard the saying ‘breakfast is like a king, dinner is like a beggar’, but it is more important to have a proper diet rich in essential nutrients. You need to reconsider this traditional approach to weight loss, It requires you to just look at calories, which is often misinterpreted as skipping calories. Skipping meals, especially skipping meals, is very bad for your health.”

According to Dr. Gopal, skipping dinner can cause the following 7 side effects:

1. Energy levels will drop

This is the most natural effect. Fewer calories means less fuel to keep your body’s machinery going. Lack of enough calories can make you tired.

2. It affects your body’s internal hunger signals

The release of the hormone leptin tells your body to stop eating when you’re full, and the hormone ghrelin tells you when you’re hungry. If you start ignoring hunger signals, these hormones won’t work properly.

3. Sugar and Carbohydrate Cravings

When you reach your hunger, after a while your hunger will rise like a craving. The reason for this is ignoring hunger signals and hypoglycemia. When your body’s sugar levels are low, you’ll be tempted to eat more sugar and carbohydrates. Because they are both known for their fast bursts of energy. Using them will increase your weight instead of losing it. The same is true when you train your body with minimal volume.

4. Irregular digestion

Skipping dinner can lead to nausea, diarrhea, and even constipation. You can get caught in a vicious cycle of skipping meals and then gaining weight by overeating.

5. Increased disease risk

People who skip meals are more likely to develop eating disorders. They can increase the risk of diseases such as anorexia, bulimia, and even anorexia.

6. Effects on your sleep cycle

skipping dinner is your sleep cycle (sleep cycle) It affects you so much that you will be sleep deprived. Not getting enough sleep can adversely affect your immunity, mood, energy, and metabolism.

7. You may feel anxious

People who regularly try to skip dinner may develop a habit of eating late at night, most likely because of junk food. Additionally, eating junk food can increase levels of cortisol (the stress hormone) in the body, which can also increase the risk of mental health problems.
