Baking soda – a pinch
How to Prepare Oatmeal Uttapam
- First, combine the oats and semolina and grind them in a blender.
- Now put this mixture in a large container and add the curds to prepare the batter.
- Add baking soda, ground cumin, and black salt to the batter. If desired, add a little water to make a thick batter.
- Set aside for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, chop tomatoes, onion, peppers and green peppers.
- Add all the vegetables to the oatmeal batter and prepare the mixture.
- Now heat up a nonstick pan and start making the utapam. When the pan is hot, drizzle a little olive oil and pour in the batter.
- Slowly roll out the batter, flipping when it turns light brown. When browned and crispy on both sides, remove from pan and serve with your choice of chutney.

Semolina – 1 cup
Curd – 1 cup
Beet Juice – 1 cup
Onion – 1 (medium size)
Tomato – 1 (medium size)
Chili – 1 (medium size)
Green Chili – 2
Black salt – according to taste
Cumin Powder – tsp
Baking soda – a pinch
How to prepare semolina and beetroot uttapam
- First, place a cup of semolina in a large pot. Then add the curd and beetroot juice.
- Now add baking soda, ground cumin, black salt to the batter. If desired, add a little water to make a thick batter.
- Set this batter aside for 15 to 20 minutes. Meanwhile, chop tomatoes, onion, peppers and green peppers.
- After this, prepare the mixture by adding vegetables to the batter.
