While the taste of dates is pleasant, it is also very good for your body. However, you might be surprised to learn that dates can be very beneficial for women’s health. In fact, dates are nutritious and high in calories. Other than that, what makes it special is that it is a low-glycemic food that is also good for women with diabetes.

We spoke to dietitian Jyoti Mineraloh for dates. Clinical Nutrition and Food & Beverage are available at Jyoti Max Hospital in Patparganj, New Delhi. She explained: “Jujube contains many nutrients. It is rich in dietary fiber and flavonoids, disease-fighting antioxidants such as carotenoids and phenolic acids, moderate in vitamin B6 and rich in minerals such as magnesium and potassium.”

Knowing why the benefits of dates for women are especially important for women’s health

1. Eliminate folic acid deficiency

Folic acid deficiency often occurs during pregnancy. In this case, pregnant women are advised to eat dates during pregnancy. It also contains high amounts of amino acids, carbohydrates and calcium, which aid in bone development.

In addition to this, it is also rich in vitamin B16, folic acid, which helps reduce the rate of birth defects. It increases hemoglobin levels in women and improves the immunity of mother and child.

2. Gives strength to bones

Dates are rich in copper, selenium, and magnesium, which help maintain bone health and prevent bone disease. As a result, people with osteoporosis are more prone to fractures. Dates can make your bones strong. Also, it is beneficial for people with bone pain problems.

3. Helps lose weight

Dates are very helpful for weight loss. It is rich in fiber, which slows absorption in the large intestine. It keeps you full for longer so we don’t feel very hungry. In addition to this, it also speeds up metabolism and aids in weight loss. In addition to this, it also helps control cravings, which is very important for weight loss.

4. Improves Heart Health

Twice a day appointments can improve your heart health. Dates contain antioxidant properties that help prevent the formation of atherosclerosis and prevent heart disease. In addition to this, consuming 2 dates a day can lower cholesterol and help keep your heart healthy.

5. Irregular times are beneficial

Consuming dates is very beneficial for women with irregular menstruation. By consuming it, blood circulation increases and impurities are removed from the blood.

Dates are an effective remedy for problems related to periods and anemia. It increases hemoglobin in the body and helps balance irregular periods.

How do we consume dates?

1. There are two kinds of dates: dried and fresh. You can eat them directly.
2. Can be eaten in place of jaggery or used in sweets.
3. Dates are also a good natural sweetener due to their glucose, sucrose and fructose content.
4. You can consume it with milk every day.
5. You can make smoothies at home or add them to salads.
