Idli is made in everyone’s house, but many times the idli doesn’t get finished due to overcooking or the sambar is over, so today we are telling you how you can use the leftover idli.

No one eats the leftover idli empty because it looks boring when eaten empty. So you can make a spicy and tangy leftover idli recipe that everyone will eat very pleasantly and happily and your leftover idli will also be over.

Curd Idli

contents

leftover idli
Cheese curds
salt to taste
sugar 1 tbsp

for tempering

oil 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Cumin 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves
1 green chili (chopped)
Asafoetida – a pinch

How to make curd idli

Add salt and sugar to the curd, after mixing it well, keep it in the refrigerator for an hour.

Heat the oil to temperature and add all the ingredients to the oil

Take idli and pour the curd mixture over it

then temperament

Spicy Tawa Idli

material

leftover idli
finely chopped 1/4 cup onion
Coriander leaves, finely chopped 2 tbsp
some curry leaves
Gun powder / idli podi 2 tbsp
Butter (or oil) 2 tbsp

How to make Tawa Idli

Heat a baking tray and add butter or oil to it.
When the oil or butter becomes hot, add onion, coriander leaves and curry leaves and fry for one minute.
After frying, add idli podi masala and fry well for 2 minutes on medium low flame.
Add idlis and mix well and turn in the spices and fry on both sides.
Serve hot tawa idli with coconut chutney or enjoy it with any chutney of your choice

Idli fries

contents

4 to 5 days old chilled idlis
chaat masala or pav bhaji masala or idli podi as required
salt as needed
Oil for deep frying or shallow frying

How to make idli fries

Cut chilled or day-old idlis like French fries

Heat oil in a wok or pan. Add idli fingers and fry until light golden.

The fried idli pieces should be crispy on the outside. You can also fry them in the pan or fry them. Be careful not to burn the idlis

Take out the idlis and keep them on a paper towel

Sprinkle pav bhaji masala or chaat masala or idli podi and some salt on top

Mix it well. All fries should be covered with masala.
