For a long time my skin was turning brown due to busy lifestyle and lack of attention to skin. That’s why I decided to go to the salon and get a full body polish done. But my mom suggested me to do body polish at home with coconut oil once before going to the salon. If I followed all the steps given by him, the result came better than I thought.


By doing body polish with coconut oil, my tanning problem was over, along with this my skin started looking softer and shiny than before. After researching it deeply, I found that there are many benefits of coconut oil in Ayurveda which are as follows –

Coconut oil is also used as a natural sunscreen and moisturizer. Coconut oil is a great option to naturally rejuvenate the body as the ingredients in it help rejuvenate the body by removing dead cells from the body.

It is believed in Ayurveda that coconut oil is beneficial in healing the body’s old wounds. Apart from this, massage with coconut oil reduces the tension in your muscles and the body is able to relax.

The first step is steam bath

The very first step to body polishing is a steam bath. This will cleanse your body of dirt and the next steps will be able to function properly. For a steam bath, take a bath by adding a few drops of lemon juice to lukewarm water.

Lemon has anti-microbial, anti-bacterial properties along with vitamin C which helps to clear skin problems. You can also use a light body wash for bathing.

The second step is massage

The second step for this body polish is massage. By massaging, your muscles will remain relaxed and the tension in your body will also be reduced. Body polishing is very important to reduce body fatigue and improve body complexion.

To make body polish, take coconut oil in a bowl. In this step, you must massage the whole body. Therefore, take oil according to your body’s needs. Heat half a bowl of coconut oil and add half a teaspoon of turmeric to it. Then start massaging the whole body slowly using your hands. Spend at least 15 to 20 minutes for body massage.


The third step is body scrub

The third step to coconut oil polishing is the body scrub. This is the most important step in body polishing because in this the dead skin cells in our body are removed and the complexion of the body starts to improve.

To make a body scrub, take half a cup of ground coffee in a bowl. Add half a cup of brown sugar to it and use coconut oil to blend the mixture. Scrub your entire body thoroughly with this mixture. After keeping it for 15 to 20 minutes, take a bath with plain water.
