Insulin resistance is also due to fat in the gut. This can lead to glucose intolerance and possibly type 2 diabetes.

Remedies for getting rid of visceral fat

Ayurveda and gut health coach Dr. Dimple Jangra shares three ways to get rid of visceral fat.

  1. Avoid heavy carbs or any solid food after sunset

According to Jangra, “In Ayurveda it is said that the metabolic fire of the body is directly related to the position of the sun. It grows with the sun and ends with the sun. Your body does not produce digestive juices, metabolism after sunset Start slowing down. Everything you eat turns into undigested metabolic waste in your stomach.

Then the next morning, when metabolism happens, it’s digested. Any food we eat after sunset is stored as undigested metabolic waste that eventually turns into toxins or “ama.”

You should make sure that the amount of food you eat is proportional to the position of the sun. After a small breakfast, eat a large meal between 12 noon and 2 pm. Finish dinner with a small meal at sunset. Avoid solid foods after sunset. If you’re hungry, drink a glass of dairy or plant-based milk before bed. This is a simple trick by which you can reduce your waistline by a few inches.

  1. Eat foods that are good for digestion

To get rid of visceral fat, eat foods that are easy to digest and don’t stay in your stomach for too long.

Here is a list of foods that are easy on your stomach,

Dr. Jangra recommends:

Fruit: 3 hours in your system (1 hour in stomach, 1 hour in small intestine, 1 hour in large intestine)

Vegetables: It takes 6 hours to enter your system (2 hours each for the stomach, small intestine, and large intestine).

Grains, legumes, beans, lentils, nuts, seeds, dairy products stay in your system for a total of 18 hours (6 hours each in the stomach, large and small intestines).

If you’re trying to lose weight, avoid dairy or switch to plant-based milk.

Stay away from meat, seafood, and eggs as they do not contain any built-in digestive enzymes. It may take more than 72 hours for complete digestion (24 hours in the stomach, 24 hours in the large intestine, and 24 hours in the small intestine)

You must eat:

  • 20% spice diet – oil, butter, salt, spices and herbs.
  1. Exercise at least 20-30 minutes in the morning

Work out in the morning until you stop sweating. It boosts your metabolism and then stays active throughout the day. Don’t sit for long periods of time. Your body was not made to sit. Get up from your desk and take a walk at least every hour.

Studies show that if you boost your metabolism and stay active throughout the day, you can burn more fat than you can with 1 hour of exercise. Also, make sure to get 6-8 hours of sleep. Stay well hydrated. Add warm carminative spices to your diet.
