Piles are also known as piles. It is caused by swollen veins in the anal region. Although in its normal state, this area acts as a cushion to control the passage of feces. But in case of piles there is swelling in them. The exact reason why this happens is still unknown. But most experts believe that factors that increase pressure in the anal area during defecation are responsible for piles. This is a problem that many people struggle with and it can cause a lot of problems even when they get up and walk.

What can be the cause of piles?

Several factors can contribute to hemorrhoids:

Nutritional factors (low fiber diet)
Irregular bowel habits (constipation or diarrhea)
lack of regular exercise
genetics
pelvic floor dysfunction
sat for a long time
obesity

In the problem of piles, many people also take homemade powders or herbs. But in this serious problem, it is important to know if home remedies can work or will make the situation worse.

We spoke to nutritionist and founder of Nutrition by Anushka, Anoushka Bhoj to know more about this topic. She believes that piles can be caused by lack of exercise, junk food, excessive consumption of tea or coffee and a sedentary lifestyle. Therefore, together with the treatment by the doctor, there is also a need for abstinence and home remedies.

Here, Anushka talks about the foods that can help in the treatment of piles.

1 flax seed

High in fiber, flaxseed works as a wonderful natural laxative. They can soften stools and help with stools in hemorrhoids. You can consume 1 tablespoon of flax seed powder daily. It is important to drink enough water while consuming flaxseed.

2 aloe vera

The glycoproteins and polysaccharides in aloe vera give it anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. This can be a great way to cure piles. You can consume aloe vera juice to get rid of piles and can also apply it topically to reduce inflammation and infection.

3 ghee

Including good fats in your diet is a great way to cure piles. Ghee is a great source of essential fatty acids. It lubricates the digestive system, making bowel movements easier.

These tips can also help in the treatment of piles

Follow a high fiber diet. Fiber helps soften your stool.

Drink plenty of fluids regularly.

Take 2 spoons of isabgol husk with warm water at night. This will give you relief.

Go when you feel the need to defecate. The habit of controlling the stool can make the condition worse.

Try to maintain the right weight.
