Here is the step by step method to prepare garam masala at home
Take out all the whole spices in a large plate. Now see if there is any kind of dirt, pebbles etc. in it.
Do not use old spices as they are more prone to fungus and insects. At the same time, it is necessary to check new spices thoroughly.
Then dry these spices thoroughly in the sun for at least 2 days. After drying in sunlight, it is dry-roasted before being prepared as a spice.
Remember that the spices must not turn red. Fry only for 3 to 4 minutes on low flame. Then refrigerate them for a while.
Take out nutmeg from these roasted spices and crush it separately and cut it into small pieces.
Then put all the remaining whole spices and nutmeg in the blender and grind them well.
When the spices become powder, they are filtered through a sieve and the remaining spice pieces are ground again.
Your garam masala is ready, store it in an airtight jar.
