The summer season brings with it the freedom to wear sleeveless tops, but it brings with it one more thing that none of us likes – tanning. A tan makes the body very dull, making our skin look very lifeless. Tan is very popular in foreign countries, they spend hours on the beach to get a tan, but in India tan is not liked.

what is tanning

Tanning is our body’s way of protecting our skin from the sun. When we are in direct contact with the sun, the sun’s UV rays damage our skin. Therefore, to protect our skin from UV rays, melanin (responsible for skin color) is transferred to the surface of our skin cells to protect them from damage. The area that is exposed to direct sunlight will thus tan.

We see that a place that does not come into direct contact with the sun looks different than a place that does not come into direct contact with the sun. Like rolling up our sleeves and seeing a change in skin color. For this, they start applying such things that claim to get rid of tan, but we don’t know about these products, how they will affect the skin. No matter how much a product is claimed to be organic and natural, chemicals are added to the products to extend the shelf life.
