Delicious recipe for dry fruit chikki
To make this you need (for 6 people)
Ghee – 4 tsp
Cashews – 1 cup
Almonds – 1 cup
Pistachios – 1 cup
Raisins – 1/2 cup
Walnuts – 1 cup
white sesame 1/2 cup
Jaggery – 1 1/2 cups
Honey – 1/2 cup
Prepare yourself with these steps
Step 1 , First, take a pan and put it on medium heat. Now add cashews, almonds, pistachios, raisins, walnuts and white sesame seeds and dry roast them until they turn brown.
Step 2 – When the dry fruits are roasted, take them out and keep aside. Now add 3 spoons of ghee in the same pan. When the ghee gets hot, add crushed jaggery to it.
Step 3 , Then add honey to the pan. Keep stirring the jaggery and honey until the jaggery melts completely.
Step 4 , Now reduce the flame to low and add all the roasted dry fruits to the pan and mix well with jaggery. Keep stirring the consistency of this mixture until it thickens completely. When it becomes thick, turn off the gas.
Step 5 – Then take a tray and apply ghee on the surface. Now take out the chikki mixture in the tray and spread it evenly around the tray by pressing.
Step 6 – Let it harden for at least 2 hours. Now cut them in desired shape and garnish with saffron threads and serve them to the guests in Diwali.
