Maintaining a relationship is not anyone’s responsibility. It runs on mutual love, cooperation and sincerity from both partners. Even one of these weak points can damage the relationship. If someone is derailed in their responsibility and honesty, it can be very difficult to move forward in life and maintain relationships. Partnering with someone other than the partner on any level, mental, emotional or physical, is synonymous with relationship infidelity. Despite this, women continue to tolerate such cheating. But any situation under duress is not good for your mental health. This is why you need to overcome the fear of being alone. Experts offer some suggestions for this.
Despite being cheated on, women continue to carry the relationship
In many cases, we see many women continue to play with their partners even after they have been unfaithful or unfaithful in the relationship. It feels suffocating just to think about such a situation. Think how many women go through this and are unable to break out of the relationship even if they want to, how limited and forced they must feel.
But the question is why do women stay in such a relationship despite being exposed to infidelity? What is the compulsion that makes women so helpless that they choose to live in a toxic environment?
If you or someone you know is in such an agreement called a relationship, tell them that it can lead to many psychological problems in the long term.
A strained relationship can be dangerous for your health
If a person tries to continue in their relationship even after being cheated on for whatever reason, then they will fall victim to the toxicity present in the relationship. It’s bound to happen, because that’s the kind of psychological trauma you’ll go through every day. Maintaining a toxic relationship and being coerced can have a profound effect on one’s mental health.
Because of all these, you may unknowingly be vulnerable to depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). There can be many reasons behind many women’s toxic relationships such as not being financially strong, social isolation, lack of family support, etc.
“Many women accept their husbands’ extramarital affairs out of fear of social stigma and loneliness,” says Life Coach, Life Coach and Psychiatrist, Gateway of Healing.
If you too are facing a toxic or dishonest relationship because of the fear of being alone, know how to overcome this fear.
To get the right information about this, Healthshots spoke to Patna-based clinical psychologist – Dr. Binda Singh. Which tells some tips to overcome the fear of loneliness.
1 Make yourself strong in every way
You have to be strong in every way to break out of the relationship. So make yourself strong physically, mentally and emotionally. If you are not financially able, find a job. Reach out to friends who can help you. Don’t think emotionally.
Don’t think about what 2 people will say
Dr. Binda Singh says that – “Getting out of a relationship is very difficult. Think it can be quite challenging emotionally and mentally. But sometimes our social conditioning doesn’t allow us to get out of the toxic relationship. We get scared just by to think that if we break the relationship, what will people say.
But worry more about your health than people, and if you have children, take care of them. Because if you don’t take a stand for yourself, no one will. Just assume that people will talk against you in any situation, so just think about yourself.
3 face the fear
According to Dr. Binda, “The fear of loneliness hurts when your own people do not support you. And in such a situation, if you have been dependent on your partner for years, then the fear of missing out on this dependence can create a home in your mind .But you have to think differently.Face your fears one by one, see what things you depend on your husband for and gradually take control of these things in your own hands.
Extra marital affair, infidelity, infidelity or involvement of husband elsewhere, multiple partners. These are all issues that can make your relationship toxic, but it’s in your best interest to come out of it stronger. So leave any social stigma or fear behind and stand up for yourself.
