On Maha Shivratri some people do spiritual practices while some do normal worship with fasting. Shivratri is also celebrated as the marriage festival of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. This is why some people also cook delicious dishes on this occasion. But if you fast on Shivratri, you must have Sabudana dishes. If not, then you can try these tasty recipes this time. Because sago is not only tasty, but it is also beneficial for your health.

Sago is a healthy carbohydrate

Like potatoes, bread, rice and pasta, sago is a type of carbohydrate. Carbohydrates give the body energy, so these foods are important to any diet. When you lose weight, you should consume fewer carbohydrates.

Sago falls into the “high-carb” and “high-calorie” category because it is high in calories.

Gives 1 Energy

Sago is high in calories, it contains high carbohydrate which gives you more energy. You feel less tired after consuming it.

2 Improves digestion

Sago also contains fiber. It helps maintain digestive health and relieve problems such as bloating, constipation and indigestion.

3 Strengthens the bones

Sago is a source of calcium, which makes bones strong. Eating foods rich in calcium also reduces the problem of osteoporosis.

How to do Sabudana during fasting

Story
Peanut
Raisin
Cashews
1 green chili – chopped
powdered sugar as needed
rock salt as needed
oil for deep frying

Prepare healthy snacks of sago like this for fasting

Lightly fry them first

Heat oil in a pan for frying. Add 3 to 4 tablespoons of sago to the oil and when the sago goes into the hot oil, they will start to puff up. Keep turning them until they cook completely.

Sabudana should be fried well. Sabudana will start to look crispy and ripe on the outside, but don’t get hard on the inside, watch out for this.

You can also try chewing some grains. If you feel that they are not cooked in the middle, let them cook for a little more time.

Put raw peanuts in ghee for frying in the same way. Roast the peanuts well until they turn golden brown and crispy. Similarly prepare cashews and raisins by roasting them.

When the dry fruits are fried and golden, take them out on a paper napkin.

When the sago mixture has cooled, put all the fried ingredients in a jar. Sprinkle salt, icing sugar and black pepper powder.

Close the jar tightly and shake to mix. So spices can be mixed with sago and dry fruits.
