1. Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 is necessary for the formation of red blood cells and DNA in the body. Along with this, it is also necessary for the development of the brain and nerve cells. If there is a deficiency of this mineral, there may be a possibility of a lack of platelets in the body. According to the Office of Dietary Supplements, a person 14 years of age or older needs 2.4 mcg of vitamin B12 in their daily intake. But at the same time, pregnant women or a person suffering from any health problem needs 2.8 mcg of vitamin B12 in their daily intake.

To meet a lack of vitamin B12, you can increase the intake of almond milk or soy milk. Apart from this, you can make eggs, beef and fish like salmon or tuna a part of your diet.

To include it in your diet, you can make citrus fruits a part of your diet. Apart from this, broccoli and strawberries can also be an important part of your diet.

3. Iron

Iron is an important mineral in the diet to maintain healthy blood cells in the body. Lack of blood cells in the body also shows iron deficiency in the body. According to 2012 research from the National Institutes of Health, iron can help increase platelet counts quickly in the problem of anemia.

To increase the amount of iron in your diet, you can increase the intake of pumpkin seeds, sayabeans, dark chocolate along with spinach. In addition to this, beef, soybeans and organ meats also contain good amounts of iron.

4. Folate

Folate is an important mineral for our body, also known as another type of B vitamin. Folate is essential for repairing cells in the body as well as making new cells. If the platelet count in the body drops continuously, a folate-rich diet can increase the count quickly.

According to the National Institutes of Health, a healthy adult needs up to 400 mcg of folate in their daily intake. Because if it is less than this, the platelet count starts to drop.
