No one likes spots and marks on their skin. None of us want to have any marks on our skin. In such a situation, burns can become the cause of your troubles. A small mistake while working in the kitchen or a little caution during Diwali can burn your hands and feet.


It is quite common in Diwali as it is not known when the attention will be divided while lighting firecrackers in festive entertainment. It can also become very fatal for you and it can also affect your beauty.

Here we are talking about burns that can cause unsightly marks on your face and do not have the name of quick removal. These scars can affect both the outer and inner layers of the skin.

Burns will fade over time, but there are many home remedies that can help you get rid of them.

So let’s learn about some home remedies that can help you in getting rid of burns. But before that, be aware of what you can do to protect yourself.

What can you do to save yourself from burns?

In case of a burn anywhere, the first thing you should do is put it under running cold water. Then prepare a cold compress with a clean damp cloth for better relief and keep it on the burned area for about 15 to 20 minutes. And then wash the affected area with more water.


After completing this step, apply ointment to the burn as directed by your doctor. It can help reduce pain and swelling.

Then, when the wound is healed, follow these natural remedies to get rid of those burns

1 coconut oil

If coconut is part of your daily diet, it can help in removing acne scars. Coconut oil is rich in omega fatty acids, which penetrate the skin and hydrate it. Therefore, it rejuvenates the skin from the inside.

Rich in antioxidants and vitamin E, coconut oil helps remove blemishes. If you want, you can add 2-3 drops of lemon juice to it. Massaging this mixture on the affected area will lighten the marks.

2. Tomatoes

Tomatoes are rich in potassium, calcium, and vitamins A and C, which help reduce dead skin and dark spots. Moisturizes and hydrates your skin. Tomato juice has skin lightening and cooling properties that heal and lighten burns. Cut off a piece of tomato and gently rub it on the burn. Apply twice a day.

3. Aloe Vera

According to the National Institute of Biotechnology Information, aloe vera has a natural agent that can heal any wound. You can also use it to treat burns. To use it, just extract the gel from an aloe vera leaf. Apply the gel to the wound and leave it on for 20-40 minutes. Then rinse with water.

4. Peeled potatoes

Potato skins provide moisture and also have antibacterial properties that aid in healing. According to many experts, potato peels work better than traditional poultices for minor burns. Simply peel the potatoes and apply to the burned area. This will also provide relief from the irritation and the burns will also disappear gradually.
