Add these 5 easy abdominal exercises to your fitness routine with advice from fitness trainer Yasmin Karachiwala. He has trained many Bollywood A-listers – including Deepika Padukone, Nora Fatehi, Alia Bhatt, Bipasha Basu and Katrina Kaif!
Yasmin recently posted a new workout routine on her Instagram account. The beauty of this simple ab circuit is that it can be done anywhere, anytime.
So let’s take a look at the 5 abdominal exercises given by Yasmin Karachiwala.
1. Sit up and twist
Lie down on the mat and start the exercise. Now lift and twist your left elbow and right knee. In the next step, twist the other elbow and knee to the other side. Exercise your abdominal muscles every time you sit up. On the other hand, do this exercise at least 15 times!
Let us tell you, a 2016 study showed that women who were able to do sit-ups were less likely to experience aging-related muscle damage.
2. Supine kick
Did you know that lying on your back means “lying face up”? For this abdominal exercise, you need to lie down in this position. Not only are these kicks one of the most effective ab exercises, but they also work your lower back muscles and hamstrings.
Remember, when you kick up, keep your palms on the ground and keep your hips off the ground. After kicking the ball, simply bend your knees and keep your shins on the ground. Do this 20 times!

3. Side plate twist
When you hear the word “ab exercise,” the first exercise that probably comes to mind is plank. Planks tighten your core muscles. In this plank variation, Karachiwala can be seen making the side planks. Do this exercise – place one of your feet on the ground and the other on the ground. This way, you will distribute your weight between your forearms and feet. Now twist your torso and turn your arms inward.
Doing at least 15 side plank twists on each side will help you work your abs.
4. Bottle cap legs
For this abdominal exercise, your palms should be flat on the ground and your feet should be connected. The purpose of the exercise is to work the muscles of the legs and core. To do this, put a bottle in front of you. Then alternately lift your legs and place them on top. Do at least 15 reps from each side.
5. All 4 Hover Twist
Put your palms and toes on the ground. Keep your knees bent, but don’t let them touch the ground. Now twist, one time with the right leg – one time with the left leg. Do this slowly to maintain balance. Repeat at least 10 times on each side.
How to do this abs workout?
According to Karachiwala, these 5 exercises are done in 4 rounds, with a 60-second rest after each round, but no rest between exercises! Do these abdominal exercises at home regularly and see how quickly they can reduce your belly fat! Just don’t forget to eat right!
