Beetroot is very beneficial for our health, it contains many types of nutrition and vitamins which are beneficial for our body, but are you also tired of only drinking beetroot salad and juice and want to eat something different, then today we have brought you a very tasty beetroot, beetroot raita and beetroot rasam recipe that you will enjoy eating. This will also give you a new test and will also keep you healthy.

According to PubMed Central, beets are rich in protein, fiber, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and sodium. Zinc, vitamin C, riboflavin, folate and niacin are present. The antioxidant properties in these keep cell damage under control as well as reduce heart related problems.

Beetroot is a good source of fibre. Fiber is beneficial for the intestines and it also keeps the digestive system in balance. According to the study conducted by Pub Med Central, it is beneficial for maintaining digestive health as well as for stomach related problems like constipation, indigestion.

Useful for increasing immunity

Fiber-rich beets give rise to good bacteria in the intestines. The presence of healthy bacteria in the digestive system helps strengthen the immune system as well as fight many other diseases. While all the nutrients present in beetroot are beneficial in boosting immunity.

According to the National Library of Medicine, folate present in beets is a type of vitamin that helps balance body growth, development and heart health. The same amount of manganese is found in it. It balances brain function along with keeping bones strong.

Let’s make two unique beetroot recipes

1 beetroot raita beetroot raita recipe

material

Curd 2 cups

Grated beets 1 cup

chopped onion 1

finely chopped coriander leaves

Green chili finely chopped 1 or 2

Cumin powder (cumin powder) roasted ½ tsp

salt to taste

How to make beetroot raita

Beat the curd until smooth. Add all the ingredients one by one and mix well.

Beetroot Raita is ready. Serve chilled.

2 beetroot rasam recipe

material

Chopped beetroot 1 bowl
Coconut 2 tbsp
oil 1-2 tsp
Mustard seeds ½ tsp
Cumin ½ tsp
Urad Dal ½ tsp
a pinch of asafoetida
Garlic cloves (crushed) – 6
few curry leaves
½ onion
Green chili – 2
tamarind juice 1 cup
salt to taste
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
water as needed
½ teaspoon chili powder
mint leaves
coriander leaves

How to make beetroot rasam

Peel the beetroot and roughly chop it. Boil them by adding a little water for 10 minutes. let cool.

Now make a smooth puree by adding 2 tablespoons of coconut.

Add water only if needed and set aside.

Heat a teaspoon of oil in a large kadhai. Add mustard seeds, cumin, urad dal and asafoetida.

Add crushed garlic cloves and curry leaves. Fry the garlic until it turns slightly golden.

Add finely chopped onions and chopped green chillies. Fry for a while.

Now add 1 cup tamarind extract, salt and turmeric powder, mix well.

Cook for 5 minutes or until the raw smell of tamarind disappears.

Add prepared beetroot puree. Also add some water to cook the rasam well. and cook for 5 minutes.

Add chili powder and chopped mint leaves and bring to a boil.

Finally add some chopped coriander leaves and check the seasoning.

Hot beetroot rasam is ready.
