Curd 2 cups
Grated beets 1 cup
chopped onion 1
finely chopped coriander leaves
Green chili finely chopped 1 or 2
Cumin powder (cumin powder) roasted ½ tsp
salt to taste
How to make beetroot raita
Beat the curd until smooth. Add all the ingredients one by one and mix well.
Beetroot Raita is ready. Serve chilled.

2 beetroot rasam recipe
material
Chopped beetroot 1 bowl
Coconut 2 tbsp
oil 1-2 tsp
Mustard seeds ½ tsp
Cumin ½ tsp
Urad Dal ½ tsp
a pinch of asafoetida
Garlic cloves (crushed) – 6
few curry leaves
½ onion
Green chili – 2
tamarind juice 1 cup
salt to taste
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
water as needed
½ teaspoon chili powder
mint leaves
coriander leaves
How to make beetroot rasam
Peel the beetroot and roughly chop it. Boil them by adding a little water for 10 minutes. let cool.
Now make a smooth puree by adding 2 tablespoons of coconut.
Add water only if needed and set aside.
Heat a teaspoon of oil in a large kadhai. Add mustard seeds, cumin, urad dal and asafoetida.
Add crushed garlic cloves and curry leaves. Fry the garlic until it turns slightly golden.
Add finely chopped onions and chopped green chillies. Fry for a while.
Now add 1 cup tamarind extract, salt and turmeric powder, mix well.
Cook for 5 minutes or until the raw smell of tamarind disappears.
Add prepared beetroot puree. Also add some water to cook the rasam well. and cook for 5 minutes.
Add chili powder and chopped mint leaves and bring to a boil.
Finally add some chopped coriander leaves and check the seasoning.
Hot beetroot rasam is ready.
